Cleaning Advice from Mom…Vodka for Cleaning?

It was another good week in the world of College Girl Cleaning Service. We are continuing to gain new clients through our unparalleled customer service and cleaning abilities. This week we offer a few more secret house cleaning tips from our moms. I don’t think we will ever run out of motherly cleaning wisdom to provide to our friends and clients. We use these time proven cleaning methods on most of our jobs or upon requests and even if you don’t take advantage of our maid and cleaning services, we will still provide you with these priceless home cleaning tips.
We often get calls inquiring if our service dusts the walls and the ceilings. It’s a great question because one would be surprised how much dirt and grime can collect on walls and ceilings. Mom says a great way to dust the walls and ceilings is to use a Swiffer Sweeper, which can be bought relatively cheaply at just about any supermarket. Simply run the Swiffer across the walls and the ceiling to collect dust rather than simply brushing the dust off the ceiling onto the ground. Mom explained that it is also a great way to reach cobwebs in ceilings corners, above window frames or door jams.
Almost everyone loves vodka even mom! However, her love affair with vodka is not based on the fact that it gets one drunk really quickly; it is because it is great for cleaning. Mom explains that when she really wants her tubs or sinks to sparkle, she loves to use inexpensive vodka. It removes soap residue and mildew and most importantly it makes your fixtures look like new. It also can be used to clean a crystal chandelier and it is odorless so no offensive odors. Finally if you ladies clean your diamonds with vodka, it will make them sparkle like the first time you laid eyes on them. All these years, I thought it was my brother who was buying the cheap vodka I found in the cupboard. So remember to label the vodka as a cleaning product and keep it out of the reach of children and your brother… Come back next week for more great cleaning tips from the moms of Chttp://collegegirlcleaningservice.com/ollege Girl Cleaning Service!

Cleaning Advice from Mom

hen I first moved to Denver, my mother gave me a lot of advice. Some of the most important advice had to do with cleaning. Here are a few suggestions from one the most trusted sources on keeping a clean house, office or condo clean. Our cleaning service implements many of these time proven methods for our clients in Orlando and Denver.
Use only a little warm water with a splash of Murphy’s to mop wood floors; no commercial-strength cleaners and no wax. You should always ask customers if they have any special cleaning needs or prefer to use certain cleaning products regarding any portion of their home  . When cleaning Stainless steel, use water and special cleaner made specifically for stainless steel. One should use soft clean rags for the majority of the house and non-abrasive cleansers for kitchens and bathrooms.
Always ask your clients if they would like to have their furniture moved when cleaning, as many clients will want the areas under and behind their furniture cleaned.. Always remove the cushions from the couches and vacuum to remove debris that accumulates over time. One of mom’s pet peeves was that many of the housekeepers and maids she hired from cleaning companies would never dust the baseboards or dust the shutters or blinds. Luckily, College Girl Cleaning Service makes those pet peeves a priority for every client we clean for. That is all the advice I could get from mom today. Stay tuned for more tips and tricks from mom!
